The Violet Chocolate Company is an award-winning boutique chocolatier based out of Edmonton, Alberta. They use old-world chocolate crafting techniques to produce adventurous and unique flavoured bars. Along with their bars, they are well known for their yearly advent calendar which features bar bites, meltaways and truffles in a variety of unique flavours.
We’ve had the pleasure of designing their annual holiday advent calendar since they launched their first one in 2016. Every year we are tasked with creating a new scene or setting to highlight the yearly holiday theme. Two of our favourite custom illustrations were for the 2018 Holiday Sweetness calendar and the 2020 Cozy at Home calendar. The Violet Chocolate Company also commissioned us to design the 2019 and 2020 Valentine’s themed calendar, which features fun notes and puns behind each window.
